Moral Focus is a large part of our school’s curriculum and something we take pride in as a whole school. Our moral focus virtue for April is Compassion. This month we will help our scholars to show compassion by providing a service-learning opportunity with our Compassion Cart.
We have partnered with Servant’s Heart of Mint Hill & Hope Vibes. These partnerships allow our families and scholars to help improve the lives of those in our community who need assistance. Servant’s Heart has targeted specific items that people use regularly and created a non-food pantry. We have chosen nine items that are needed the most to stock a Compassion Cart. Our Cartful of Compassion drive will be open Monday, April 7th through Friday, April 11th.
We are asking each grade level to donate a different item to stock the cart. Servant’s Heart does ask that you donate regular-sized items as each family receives a full month’s supply from their non-food pantry.
Every little bit helps, if you are unable to provide the grade level listed item but have something else on the list, please feel free to send it in. Bins will be set up outside under the awning for you to drop the items off starting the week of April 7th.
