QG Families,
Wednesday, August 12th, from 3:00-5:45, is our Back to School Night!
We look forward to seeing all our returning families and meeting our new families at Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 12th, from 3:00 to 5:45 p.m.
Back to School Night-Wednesday, August 12th from 3:00-5:45 p.m.
We’ve heard your feedback regarding having suggested times for BTS Night. To reduce traffic and congestion in the parking lot, we have listed a suggested time for families to attend Back to School Night. This is a suggested time. If you can’t make it during your suggested time, please come when you can. Please refrain from parking in the business lot before 5:00 p.m. so that their customers can park for their appointments.
This year, we are hosting a New Family Welcome to QG Parent Meeting in the gym, which will review policies, procedures, dress code, arrival/dismissal procedures, and outline the four pillars: Moral Focus, Academics, Student Responsibility, and Parental Partnership. Your Ah-Mazing PTI (Parent Teacher Involvement) Board will also present some important information, ways you can be a part of your child’s education, volunteering, and other fun events planned. We kindly request that each new family join us at 5:00 p.m., The meeting is around 45 minutes to an hour so be sure to allow enough time to drop off your supplies before coming to the New Family Welcome to QG Parent Meeting.
We kindly ask that you arrive in sufficient time to drop off and complete everything, so our staff can leave by 6:00 p.m.
A-I: 3:00-3:45
J-R: 4:00-4:45
S-Z: 5:00-5:45

Back-to-School Night is a time to bring in all your school supplies, meet your teacher, decorate your locker, reconnect with old friends, welcome new families, and prepare for a successful school year! Be sure to drop off your supplies to your homeroom teacher, complete any missing required forms, visit with QG PTI, sign up to help volunteer, purchase your QG Cares Go NUTS (No Uniform to School) passes, enjoy a treat from Jeremiah’s, and explore other fun and informational tables.
Required Forms
It’s that time of year again for completing the required forms on your Parent Portal. This year, we will be giving each scholar a single-use (date will be provided with pass and sent home on Monday, 9/14) QG Go NUTS (No Uniform to School) pass if they have completed 100% of their paperwork before 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12th, before Back to School Night. If you have any questions about the required forms, please visit or call the office at 704-573-6611. Our goal is to have 100% completed before 12:00 p.m. on Back to School Night.
One of the forms that may show up as missing on your missing forms report could be your Free and Reduced Lunch Form. We recommend that families save or print the confirmation page after submitting it. If we’re unable to locate the application, we can search using the reference code found on that page.
Your child will not be eligible for the QG single-use Go NUTS pass if any required forms are missing after 12:00 p.m. on August 12th.
To-Do: Go to your Parent Portal App or https://nhaparentportal.com/landing (or visit qgcs.org and click on Parent Portal) and select ‘Forms’.
Thank you to everyone who has completed the FRL forms. We are currently at 55% completion. We have to have 100% completed by August 24th.
Free and Reduced Meal Application
Please use the link above to apply for Free Lunch. If you are not going to apply for FRL then please fill out the Decline Benefits form provided below.
You must complete ALL forms before the first day of school. We will have Chromebooks set up for those of you who need access to a computer. We will also have hard copies of the Annual Health History Form (this is the form that you can’t complete online).
Jeremiah’s will be on-site if you would like to purchase a refreshing treat during BTS Night.
